‘Dialogue in Art’ came along as we saw the increase in the level of psychological distress across people from children to older adults, regardless of their cultures and backgrounds, during Winnie's years working and living at different parts of the world. Many people were actually getting further away from their emotions and struggling to maintain a healthy state of mental wellbeing.
We want to create an opportunity to open up minds, embrace authentic expression and celebrate differences in a safe and empowering environment.
Art is a powerful vehicle to connect people to their emotions. It drives conversations effectively not only because it can be understood universally, but also because the creation of art externalises the unconsciousness and make thoughts visible. ‘Dialogue in Art’ aims to provide a safe place for people to explore emotional truth, find their authentic voices, and be inspired to be different by creating a pressure-free, friendly, and innovative experience through art.
We also aspire to make our community a better place by:
1. Promoting new form of expression beyond conventional painting and drawing practices;
2.Shifting the popular culture of ‘artwork as an output’, to ‘art as a process' to facilitate the discussion of what really matters
3. Nurturing positive emotional health and creating a safe environment for authentic expression
